Unveil the Holy Cross Province’s secrets

Hello! My name is Michał Jagodziński. I am a professional, licenced tour guide in the Holy Cross (Świętokrzyskie) Province of Poland which is placed between the Mazowieckie voivedship with the capital city Warsaw, and an old residence of kings in Cracow in the Lesser Poland region. It is just two-hour ride here from those cities.

I specialize in guiding in English and had a privilege of taking care of ambassadors from around the world who visited the Świętokrzyskie voivedship.

I lead tours to the Holy Cross monastery, my home town – Kielce, beautiful old town of Sandomierz and various other attractions of region. What are those attractions? Świętokrzyskie is known for its mountains, especially the Bald Mountains range, rich geology, famous archaeological sites, magnificent romanesque and gothic architecture including churches and castles. Masterpieces of polish baroque objects also to be found here.

There are many unique features that cannot be found anywhere else in the world but the Holy Cross Province. The most known is striped flint mined in prehistoric times. What is interesting is that it recently returned as material for jewellery. Underground prehistoric corridors where it was removed from limestone rocks were placed on the UNESCO world heritage site last year. Świętokrzyskie is also the only place where real pink porcelain is made.

And it is just a beginning. There are many more interesting stories and places in the Holy Cross Province. You can read about it here and on my blog.

I am no stranger to helping in organisation of tours as well. If you a have a question please write or call me.
